Rest your Legs
After doing any leg exercises including lengthy walking or standing, it is recommended that the legs be kept raised at a level of about 6 to 12 inches above the heart for about 10 minutes or so. This posture reduces the risk of varicose veins.
You can also practice the following
Lie down on the floor with your rear almost touching a wall. Keep your legs in an elevated posture resting across the wall. This provides a good rest for your legs.
